So sad to hear this news. I'm glad I was able to see her at the 55th reunion and share a smile and hug. Lynn was always energetic and outgoing in high school, never too busy or preoccupied to say hello. RIP dear Lynn. Condolences to the family.
What sad news that once again one of our classmates has passed. What a great person Lynn was. When you look over the list of those who have gone before one realizes sadly our time together is growing shorter.
Our classmate Mark Luginbill has heard directly from Tom Vogelsinger (Lynn's husband) of Lynn's passing. I'd like to adjust a couple of items from my original posting. Lynn actually suffered from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) a condition similar to, but generally worse than, Parkinson's Disease. PSP is rarer and often initially diagnosed as Parkinson's (as was the case with Lynn). While many symptoms are similar, there are some differences. For instance, PSP generally does not produce tremors, as Parkinson's does. PSP is more likely to produce a stiffened posture, leading to falls, and sufferers may have more difficulty looking down. Speech and swallowing issues can be similar to Parkinson's, but may progress faster.
Tom confirmed what Marsha Virene Matthews earlier suggested: according to Lynn's and the family's wishes, there will be no services for Lynn.
Lynn had a great spirit, her smile was strong and always friendly. I was glad to know her. To Tom and family my sincere condolences, all of your strengths for her must have kept her able to endure. She will be missed.
Lynn was one of a kind. Always smiling with kind words. We have lost a wonderful classmate and individual. Though she found it difficult to talk at our 55th, her eyes said everything. Condolences to Tom and her family.
Since there is not going to be a Memorial service for Lynn, does someone have Tom's address so I can send him a card? If Tom doesn't want his address given out I understand. :( Marsha Matthews
So sorry to hear the sad news. My deepest sympathy to Tom and his family. Lynn was fun to be around and had a great sense of humor. She dealt with her disease with amazing courage. I think Mark Luginbill said it best: "her spirit was undiminished." She will be deeply missed.
