The Reunion Committee has just discovered that Jane died a few years ago. Her obituary follows:
Jane Ellen Denno of Rutherfordton, NC passed away in her home on March 15, 2021 at the age of 69. She was born in Portland, Oregon, the eldest of four children of Donald and Helen Denno. Jane was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Sue Adams of Wisconsin. She is survived by her brother Jim Denno and his wife Debby of Salem Oregon; her son Rory and his wife Lanae and children of Idaho; her son Jesse and his wife Nicole also of Idaho; and her youngest son Eliot of Salem; her sister Anne and her husband Kenneth Brock of Rutherfordton and their sons Kerry (and his wife Nikki) Brock and Kevin Brock and their families of Forest City, NC.
Jane was raised near Chicago, IL, where she received her first graduate degree as a clinical specialist in psychiatric nursing, second graduate degree in family medicine, and third degree in mental health. Jane moved to NC in 1985 to work as a minister with Sam and Jane Whaley at the Word of Faith Fellowship church. She was especially gifted in the music ministry. She retired from Cleco Medical Center in 2019 after a career serving all ages of psychiatric mental health patients. She was well known for the love and encouragement she expressed toward all of her patients. She will be greatly missed by all!
I'm so sorry to hear about Jane. I knew she was in band, although I was in choir but I remember talking to her about band and our interest in music. It sounds like she had a wonderful life combining music and he love for helping people.
