I haven't spent a lot of time on this website and just found this "In Memory" feature.  I'm truly shocked to see all the familiar classmates who have left this life and I regret not being more attentive.  Rod and I went to grade school together at Hawthorne Elementary.  We had a small class, and I mostly remember that we all got along pretty well on the playground.  He and I traveled in different social circles after sixth grade, but I have a special fondness for those who were my very first classmates and taught me how to get along with all kinds of people.  Thanks, Rod.

Rod and I were always near each other anytime there was an alphabetical line or seating. Our last names were close so that was a given. Such a nice guy. I appreciated his kindness.

I remember Rod well, especially his sense of humor!  I'm shocked that he has passed!!!!!!! RIP, Rod!

Rod was a sweetheart. I remember that he helped with our early reunions by contributing various printed materials (back when we actually printed things!) He had a print shop on Crescent Blvd, near the Glen, I'm pretty sure. He also lived with his family on Milton, next block over from our house on S. Ellyn. Good guy!
