Mike faced many challenges in life but always remained an optimist, never blaming anyone else for his misfortunes, rarely complaining. Mike lost his mother when he was in grade school, and then lost his older brother to musclular dystrophy while in high school. Yet he remained ready to share a laugh with anyone who would stand still long enough to listen to him, a trait he passed on to his son. A good guy.
I remember Mike well. He always took the time to stop and talk. Seems like he wanted to fly under the radar at times, but never forgot to give you a smile and a cheerful hello. He left us too soon. He was a pioneer in his own time. I know you are missed by those who knew and loved you.
